Katie lost her first tooth!  She was sooo excited, but too scared to let her dad pull it out, so we've been waiting for awhile!

Time Outs!

So, I know I'm not the only one who has done this...but this is a first for me! Cole had gotten into trouble for hitting his sister and I sent him into timeout! We always send him to the same corner by our couch. Well, most of the time I let him out after 3 minutes, but this time I was making dinner and then Kenny called. Needless to say I got to talking to Kenny and time went by. It wasn't until Kenny asked if the kids had been good that it dawned on me, Cole was still in timeout! I would say about 15 minutes had past. I went to the corner to let him out and this is what I found....





Yes- I know...I'm a bad mom:) Oh well, at least he got a nap in that day!

Our beautiful backyard!

This is our first spring and summer here in North Carolina, and since our house was brand new we had to put sod in our backyard.  Kenny put it in himself, as well as the fence.  Now that it's summer it has finally started to come together.  We have put in some landscaping as well, and I'm really glad with how it has turned out.

4th of July!

Our 4th of July was wonderful!
We got to spend it with our friends!












The kids had a great time doing fireworks, and so did the "Big" kids. (aka the dads).
We went to the party at our friends/neighbors house, and there were alot of people there.
We did a huge fireworks display out in the cul de sac
in front of our houses. It was a blast- but picking up the next morning was a bit of a downer. Someone needs to invent biodegradable fireworks! I'm telling ya, that's a money maker!

















Once the sparklers started getting out of control we pulled out the light sticks. You can all see how dangerous Cole would be with a sparkler!

Teasing Kenny

So, I warned Kenny that I was going to blog about this! It's just that it's such an amazing event, and rarely seen! This type of incredible occurrence only happens every 20 years or so.......

That's right- a man cleaning WITHOUT being asked!!!! Sorry, I'm sure I'm having way more fun blogging about this than you are reading this:)
In all seriousness, Kenny helps alot, and I'm sure I would be lost without him:)

This next picture I tried to tease Kenny and I told him he looks fat in it because of the way his shirt puffs out. Then it came to me.... he's pregnant and barefoot in the kitchen!!! HA HA HA I have to tell you- he didn't find it as funny as I did.

So, since I had dedicated this blog to teasing Kenny (something you should all know by now that I LOVE doing!) I decided it was time to build him back up a little!
Kenny took on an amazing project this May when he was on leave and I'm just now getting around to showing everyone. He (along with his dad's help) built this awesome fort for the kids! The kids call it their pirate ship, and we found a cute sign to go with it.
The fort is fitted with a rock wall, slide and rope bridge! The kids LOVE it. (I have to admit I love it too, not only because it is fun to play on, but it keeps the kids outside!) Kasey (our beagle) likes it too. It didn't take her long to figure out how to go up the ramp and down the slide:)

Just a few new pictures that I thought I would post! This one is of Kenny on one of his LAST days as a dentist!!!! He was so excited to start the residency and now he is loving it!
This picture cracks me up- right in front of this helicopter there is a sign that reads, "Do not climb on Aircraft." Yet more proof that my children do not listen!
My dad told us to hurry and take the picture because he felt a little weird standing there! We of course just laughed at him!
This is Amaya and she is one of the cutest little girls! Katie absolutely adores her, and Cole calls her his little girlfriend! She was trying to be a big girl like Maddie and Katie!

Cole is quite the crazy kid! He's the most photogenic out of all of our kids though!

Maddie's Awesome Soccer Season

It's only fair that I blog about Maddie's soccer season too, and Maddie's was so awesome!!!! She started off slow, but after a few games she was one of the best girls on the team:) Of course I am a little biased! She ended up scoring a total of 5 goals for 3 of the games, and she really worked hard! Her team was a fun group, and hopefully they can continue to play together throughout the seasons. Maddie says that she had a great time, and that she wants to keep playing. They do a spring and fall season over here, so it shouldn't be that hard to keep playing:) Here is a video of one of her goals!

Talk about alot of pizza!  Maddie had her soccer party to end her first Spring season of indoor soccer.  She had alot of fun with this team and we plan on having her play on it every spring.  We all got together at the Mackey's house and had pizza, cupcakes, and they received their trophies.
