I forgot

It seems like everyday I experience something that I have forgotten about babies.  It really wasn't that long in between Cole and Logan, but evidently 4 1/2 years was long enough for me.   A few things I have been re-learning are:

1.  If your leg starts to feel warm suddenly- your being peed on.  Stupid diaper leaks.

2.  Babies can be just as happy at midnight as they are at noon.  Or angry.

3.  Baby food comes out looking the EXACT same as going in.  Just smelling worse.

4.  If you leave the room- they notice.

And finally...

5.  A teething baby is a nursing moms nemesis.

It's 1 am.

I'm blogging and it's 1am.

Has my life really come to this?

I would be sleeping- normally- but I don't think you can use the word "normally" when you have a baby.

Logan is 5 months and some change and he has decided to stop sleeping.  ALL THE TIME.

We have one of those crib toys that plays music and has lights and is suppose to help "soothe your baby back to sleep".

What a load of crap.

Our stupid toy is suppose to play for 25 minutes and then shut itself off.

It's been playing 25 seconds and then shutting off!

So, it's 1 am.

Tea Party

For Christmas the girls received their beloved American Girl dolls.  The dolls came with a cute book that has all sorts of ideas about things to do with your dolls.  One idea was a tea party and since the kids were having a day off from school I thought it would be perfect:)

The girls each had a friend with an American Girl doll to invite, and luckily one of those girls has a little brother so that Cole could have his "dinosaur" party!

We had a fun time deciding the menu.  As you can see we had big food for the kids and matching mini foods for the dolls.  Since the girls have broken all of their past tea sets we also let them each get a new one.  After the tea (lemonade), we made hair clips, braclets, and wallets for the dolls!  It was a huge hit and something I would gladly do again:)

Growing Up

Logan's getting so big!  He is a fun little baby who smiles all the time- even part of the time when he's crying:)  He can be in the middle of a fit and just start smiling!  He's a pro at rolling from his tummy to his back and has been pretty close to going to other way.  He was initiated into the "falling off the couch" club a couple of weeks ago.  It wasn't too bad, but we quickly learned that Cole will sacrifice his brother for a toy.

Family Fun

We are big Boise State fans, and for Christmas this year I got us all new shirts so we could cheer them on for the big game this year.  Kenny was late coming home (shocking, I know) so we took the picture without him.

We had a great time watching the game and an even greater time when they won!!!!

I wanted to take good pictures of our Christmas Church outfits this year, but I forgot until after church.  I had to get everyone back into their clothes, and as you can see they were less than thrilled.  *Sigh*  Maybe next year.
