April Fool's

I am very pleased to announce that the Fool this year was not me!

Not for lack of trying- Kenny even tried to get his entire church class involved. But, I did not fall into his deceptive trap!

Furthermore, I vowed revenge and carefully planned my husband's demise.

First- I paged him around lunch time and made it look like it was his Chief who was paging him. (I decided to use his Chief's number not only to get Kenny but also to get his Chief. It was like a 2 in 1 deal!)

After the first page I patiently waited a few hours only to page his again.

Now, I was taking a risk in this because I have been warned to NEVER page Kenny unless a family member had lost a limb or was currently in the process of "kicking the bucket".

I knew that this prank would either end in a laugh or a stern "discussion". But after passing it by the Chief's wife I felt assured it would be taken well.

Well, after 4 pages Kenny called around 5 to let me know he would be coming home soon. While on the phone with him I preceded to use my cell phone to page him yet again- only this time I decided to use his own pager number to see if he would actually try to page himself back. He didn't fall for it, but while I was on the phone with him I heard his pager go off and he said, "Someone is screwing with me today- they are paging me with my own number right now."

Yes- it was very hard not to laugh at that.

I told him that it must be someone that he works with:)

We hung up and I started to plan the rest of the day and all my evil plans!

About 1 hour later Kenny calls again. He tells me that he will be later than he thought because his Commander found out about the pages and won't let him come home until he finds out who was trying to page him!

I have to admit- for a split second I thought- OH CRAP!

Then I remembered who I was messing with- and I know him all too well. So instead of giving in I simply said "that sucks!"

After I got off the phone with Kenny I immediately called my friend to find out if Kenny had heard it was me, which of course he had. The truth was out, but I didn't cave! I held strong until Kenny came home and finally called me out:) It was completely worth it!

Oh- and don't worry, he not only got that prank but I also created a "wonderful" meal for him that night!

The kids woke up all excited to see what the Easter Bunny had brought them!

Logan wasn't sure what to think about all the stuff in the living room, but he sure did like the easter grass!

It was a beautiful Spring morning- perfect for Easter.

Playing Around with Mommy's Camera

My kids LOVE using my camera to take pictures and video of themselves.  Mostly, it drives me crazy because I'm afraid they will break it or mess the settings up.  That, and the fact that they are always running the battery down or filling up the memory card with random photos.

However, the one part I do like is when I find the most obscure pictures on my camera.  And most of the time they are pretty funny!  I can't ever figure out what I was doing at the time these pictures were being taken, but they can be pretty creative at what they do.  As an example below, where they figured out how to take really funny looking "action" pictures!

Dentac Ball 2010

Finally- after 3 years I get to go to a military ball!  I've been so excited for this eventhough I had heard from many people how boring they are.  I didn't care!  I just wanted to get all dressed up and have a chance to see my handsome husband all decked out in his uniform!  And I think it was totally worth it:)  We had a fun time going and hanging out with a few of the people he works with, and yes, it was a little boring at one point, but easy to forget while you check out what everyone else is wearing.  I don't think I feel the need to go EVERY year, but once in awhile will be fun.

There's an inside joke about the Oral Surgery Residency.  We've decided that in order to be a resident here you have to be bald.  Not all by choice, and not all are bald, but most of them are and it's funny how it makes them look alot alike!

Logan's 6 Months Old

Well- Logan has finally turned 6 months old and like always I forgot that you needed to take pictures to document that milestone!  Since I was such a slacker I couldn't get the photographer that I LOVE to take the pictures because she was about to pop out one of her own little darlings.  (Yes- she didn't get the memo that she's suppose to plan her family around my schedule!) (I really hope people that read this understand that I am incredibly sarcastic!)  Well, I figured I would have to wait to get professional pictures taken and instead just took some myself to commemorate the occasion.  I'm still playing around with our iPhoto editing, but this is what I have so far.  I think I may have edited a little too much, you'll have to let me know:)

I'm a GOOD mom!

True story from this morning.

I get the girls ready for school and out the door.  It's my turn to drive, so I'm herding them into the van.  I pause to get a drink of water.  As I walk into the garage this is what happens:

Katie:  Mooommmm! (That sound is worse than nails on a chalkboard, and is usually followed with whining.)  

Katie:  Cole called me dumb!

Cole:  So did Maddie!

Maddie:  I did not!

Cole:  Yes you did!

I take a deep breath, count to ten, and it doesn't work.

I'm prepared to ignore it all when Cole turns and glares at Katie as if to say, 'ha! I got away with it!'

I say (pretty sure it was more like yell- and I'm sure the whole neighborhood heard because my garage door was open):

"Cole, Katie is a hundred times smarted than you, so if she's dumb what does that make you! (pause for dramatic effect)  DUMBER!!!!" 

That's right Ladies and Gentlemen, I am officially the best mom ever!
