Katie's Baptism

Katie was baptized on June 27th. She has been so excited to get baptized and was even more excited when she knew that some of her grandparents were going to be able to make it. It was a crazy day since we were getting ready to leave right after her baptism for Raleigh because we were flying out early that next morning. We were so glad that all our great friends here came to her baptism. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends! Katie had a wonderful time, and when I asked her what her favorite part was she said the snacks afterwards. That's Katie for ya! She looked so beautiful in her white dress and I'm so proud to have Katie as my daughter. She is possibly the sweetest girl I know and is so very special!

Like always- I forgot my camera, but luckily our friend Shad saved the day & had his cell! Thanks Shad!

Maddie & Katie's Soccer

Soccer Season Spring 2010

Katie had a great season this year! She was playing full court finally and loved it. She also played goalie for a little bit each game and she liked doing that.

Maddie played on Lightning again this year, and she really loved it. This is the third year she's played with the same spring team and she has a great time with her teammates and coaches!

Cole's T-Ball

Cole played T-ball for the first time this spring! Baseball is huge in Hope Mills, and they really go all out for the teams. I thought he was just adorable in his little uniform. (I kept getting in trouble for calling it an outfit.) He really loved it and I'm sure will be doing it each Spring from now on.

Cole played on the Pirates and he had a really nice coach whom he liked. Cole actually only needed the tee a few times during the season. The rest of the time his coach pitched to him and Cole hit the ball. They don't keep score over here for tee ball, but I pretty sure Cole's team would have won alot of games:) They were pretty cute- not to mention quite entertaining to watch. It seemed to take some of the kids some time to figure out that they couldn't just skip 2nd base and run from 1st to 3rd (hitting the pitcher's mound on the way over). Cole played really well in the outfield, as long as we kept him away from any bases. If he stood too close to a base we would often see him "smack talking" with the other player's on the bases. His coaches quickly figured that out and kept him in more of a short stop position:)!

Cole got really good at playing in the dirt:) I'm sure I wasn't the only one tired of yelling at him to stop.

Katie's 8th Birthday Party

Katie was very excited to have her birthday party at the "bouncy house" place this year!  She has wanted to do it for awhile, but we normally only do big parties (with friends) every other year.  I always love having parties at places like this.  I love only having to invite people and show up with a cake.  It makes it a much more enjoyable day when I'm not running around crazy doing everything myself.  Plus I LOVE not having to clean up the mess:)!  We had a lot of fun here.  Even the parents got into the whole scene of the boucy houses.  Kenny and I raced once, I don't quite remember, but I'm sure I won;)!

Katie- opening presents.  They even let her put her handprint on the wall in the birthday room.

I really liked the set up, and the people who work there were great. 

Kenny was given the task of finding a Birthday Cake this year, and he went a grocery store to get one.  He called me later and said he couldn't decide between a cake or cupcakes- so he got both:)  He's so funny!

Since we ate the cupcakes at the party we kept the cake for later at home.  Unfortunatly since Katie's birthday is always around or on Memorial Day it can make it difficult to have a birthday party with all her friends.

Logan Pulling to Stand

I found Logan in his crib the other day- and there he was- standing up!  He had finally pulled himself to stand!  It was pretty cute too, because he was stuck- he was holding on to the railing and couldn't figure out how to get back down.  Of course that was to my advantage because I was able to get the camera and take a few pictures:)

8 Months Old

Then a few days later he learned how to pull himself up on the coffee table.  I wasn't as excited about this one since he could hurt himself this way.  We never had a coffee table with the other kids, so this was a new experience for us.  I'm sure he'll be walking along it in no time!
