Day 6 started off earlier than all the other days! The hardest part was that Day 5 had ended later then any others, so for the girls and I, we were running on very little sleep. We wanted to get out early because Disney's Animal Kingdom had early morning hours that started at 8am, and we had also learned that it was best to go on the Safari early in the morning when all the animals were still active. It was true! Even though we were tired, it all went away when we were walking into the Animal Kingdom heading for a Safari!
We went on the Kilimanjaro Safari and were able to see a ton of animals. We rode in these huge
open-sided safari vehicles.

The animals were really close to the vehicle, there were a few times they were close enough to reach out and touch. At one point we had to wait because the wildebeest had walked in front of a vehicle and just stood there starring at them. They finally moved when some of the game wardens drove toward them.

We spent the majority of the day at the Animal Kingdom going on rides and looking at the animals.
We went on Expedition Everest, which is a really fast and fun roller coaster that even goes backwards. It took alot of convincing, but Katie finally agreed to go on it, and she really liked it.
We also had a great time on Kali River Rapids. We all got soaked, and considering it was pretty hot that day, it was well worth it! During one trip where Kenny & I took all the kids Logan hung out with Rusty, Lindsay, & Chase. He started acting bashful like he does, and eventually fell asleep.

The shows that we hit up were The Festival of the Lion King and Flights of Wonder. Cole got a massive bloody nose during the Flights of Wonder show and we joked that the birds would smell blood and might attack:)!
One of the kids favorite part of the park was The Boneyard where they got to run around in a huge jungle gym and play with water and dig up bones.
In the middle of all this fun we also ate at the Tamu Tamu Restaurant where the kids all got these huge milkshakes! We ate outside and the kids kept insisting that there was a snake in the grass behind them. We just told them to sit still and eat so it wouldn't bite them.
We left the Animal Kingdom around 4-5pm and headed back to our hotel rooms. We wanted to cool down and rest a bit before heading to Hollywood Studios that night.
We arrived to Hollywood Studios later than evening around 7pm. It was just in time for the late extra hours, so people were starting to leave, which made it alot easier to get around. The only bad part was that some of the rides we were planning to go on were already closed. We didn't realize that they would close some of the rides when the parks normal hours ended. We also wanted to go on the Toy Story ride, but the wait time was still 50 minutes, so instead Kenny took Maddie on the Tower of Terror again (her 4th time!). We stopped and got the kids something to eat. We went and saw the Voyage of the Little Mermaid, and then after we exited that show we saw a show with the doors open and almost no one in there. They were playing music and when we looked in, there were all the Disney characters- Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, & Donald, dancing around. So we took the kids in and they got to see the characters again. We left after a little while because the music was pretty loud though.
After that we went around the back area of the park and there was no one around. It was so quiet and peaceful to be in one of the parks with no one else around.

We decided to head toward the Star Tours ride and see how long the wait was. When we got there we found out there was no wait at all! All we had to do was walk in, but the problem with that was that Kenny wasn't there yet, because he went to get something to eat. The babies couldn't go on this ride, so we were going to take turns again with the kids, and luckily Kenny showed up right as Chase was about to take the kids on. The cast members let Lindsey and I wait in the back area of the ride and when they were done we got to go on again with the kids. The best part about riding it that last time was that Cole ended up being the 'Rebel Spy'. The Rebel Spy was someone who was picked randomly by the ride and they had their picture up on the screen as part of the ride. The picture that came up of Cole was awesome- he looked so shocked in it! He was so excited about that! After the ride he just kept talking about how he was the spy! It was a great way to end our vacation!

We checked out of our hotel at the last minute that we could that morning. It was relaxing being able to take our time and get packed. We went and had breakfast at our hotel before we headed to the gift shops one more time. The kids each picked out a few souvenirs for their friends and for themselves. Then we checked out and headed home. It was a good trip home and we made good time. We were all excited to get home and relax. Everyone agrees that it was the best vacation ever and worth everything we put into it:)! We were so glad to have gone with the Grames Family! They made it the most memorable trip ever! Hopefully we will have many more vacations together!
